Summer Glow | Highlighters

Ok so I might be technically a little late in this subject but summer last for a couple months. In my case here in Hawaii summer is all the time. Im going to tell you what screams summer to me and to a lot of us. great looking skin, a nice tan but must of all glowing skin.

How to achieve this beautiful summer look whit out the sun exposure or  if you don’t  live close to a tropical land… well  makeup is the solution!

It can be so simple that any one can achieve this look  and the best product to use is a highlighter that will give you that summer glow no questions asked. if you are someone that doesn’t have a tan no worries just grab a bronzer and this two together will do wonders.

Summer is here | Sun Care

 Oh Sunny Days…

who doesn’t love this time of the year when the days are longer and the sun is brighter it just simply perfect!

Well with all this perfection as it is, also comes a very importan subject that I want to talk to you. Sun Damage is a real thing we all have heard of it …Sun burn, sun spots, skin cancer in its worst case. So with that been said I think is very importan to explain to you why you need protect your self from the sun.

What Im talking here is not to just  protect your skin from the UV rays only if you go to the  beach or park…!!  come on !! we all know that right? no no here Im  talking on a daily basis and even when we are not directly exposed to the sun, how often do you think about it?? are you one that leave the house just to run errands in the morning or in the middle of the day?? ; Well let me tell you that is as important to protect your skin from the sun on those days as if you where to go to the beach..even on a day that you are out and about specially if you are driving on a hot day!!! yes you hear me right…we have no protreccion at all  from those UV  Rays and heat that our cars shoot at us, and often enough we spend hours expose to them  with out realizing how much damage we are indirectly causing to our skin.

Well know you know it this is really This time of year When the sun is stronger and and that our skin will get more damage, but the good News is that we can prevent all of this by using or include products on our daily regimen that contain SPF already on it, to simplify the use of sunscreen because no one likes to have tons of layer product on the skin specially on a hot summer day.

I personally like to use a moisturizer that has SPF on it to me thats the best way to protect your skin if you are out and about do that step in the morning before you leve the house and that will help a ton. Other option is to look for makeup products that offer SPF that could be foundations ,primers, bronzers, or Setting Sprays.

 

 

Think about how much money you will save if you star taking proper care of your skin on a daily basis, because it really doesn’t matter how good or how expensive your skin care ine is If the foundation of it is not been taking care of it from the most abrasive element the Sun.

Beach Day + my Essentials.

Hot sunny days in Paradise… the best way to enjoy the is at the beach with the family…!!

I have been absent from the blog the last days and i feel like is been an eternity since my last post, but Im happy to be back and with this blog i want to share with all of you a little bit of what i call home so enjoy the pictures and let me know if you have ever visit Hawaii, I will love to know or if this one of the paces you on your bucket list…

This Saturday and Sunday We spend our family time at the beach and I want to share with you all the products an things I consider my Beach Essentials it is really important  to me to be able to care for our skin and since this place can quickly become a hell as far as the hot weather  I have to be prepare for it… I don’t  want you to think that I go crazy and bring a whole army of things to the beach! For the contrary I just carry a good beach bag with all my necessities plus our cooler and thats all..! we are ready for a fun time at the beach.

So here is the things I carry on my Bech Bag …

Sunscreen is the # 1 thing that i can’t leave the house without…to me the Neutrogena Beach Defense Sunscreen Lotion is the best that suits our family I always opt for the highest SPF and I apply this on my girls every 2 hours specially if the have been in and out of the water…its paraban free, oil free , and light weight …so easy to be absorb by the skin.

Lip balm I have to have my lips moisturized and protected from the UVA rays this time I carried my Bene Balm by Benefit  but i also love some ChapStick with SPF with is very affordable and I can also use on my girls.. for my FACE I have to have some Special protection I am trying my best to take good care of it like I mentioned in my past blog about Skin Care Why is important? is imperial to not damage any more what  I have tried so hard to improve  so i use  this wonderful  CC CREAM from Chanel that to  me is so wort the money for al the benefits that this does to my face…not to mention it has a SPF of 50 with is great !

I found this beautiful  Solar Scape UV Grasslands Hat at Costco for a very affordable price  that provides extra protection to my face of UPF 50 awesome and cute!!

Well obviously keeping our selfs Hydrated is importan while exposing to the heat and sun so we have to have water lots of water…

Affordable makeup that feels Luxurious.

    Not to long ago I went to Target to run some errands and obviously my inner addict drag me to the beauty department.Ok i was forced to be there and I told my self no need more makeup so “I’m just going to look there is nothing I really need” – said no one ever!!

Surfing  those long isles of products and brands delighting my eyes, I came a cross this brand of of Makeup that some how I have never seen before… my eyes immediately sparkle like in those cartoons I used to watch when I was little…

ESSENCE is the brand that I have just discover … any one have try this??

So I looked at the display and it seems to be nice, packaging is nice and simple but it feels good not cheap at all… Here I’m looking at the lipsticks and to mu surprise they are supper pigmented and they feel buttery and hydrating to my hans on the swatches…I’, intrigue now…I must try this…!!

Well, I end up buying some of their products, 3 lipsticks, 2 liquid lipsticks (gloss), 1 blush, ! matt bronzer and a concealer …all right  I say i don’t need any more but I can’t help it …i had to feed my curiosity and addiction.

This product are made in Italy and the are very affordable nothing is more than $20 personally  I pay that amount sometime for 1 or 2 products from Loreal or other drugstore brands …so I was very amaze by how affordable this cosmetics are not to mention they do have a very good quality that Feels Luxurious to me.

Love at First sight| TARTE new foundation.

Tarte New Rainforest of the sea Foundation.

As you can tell by the title here I have found a new love of mine with this foundation an dI’m going to get in to details in a moment … But first let me tell you I have try quite a few foundations and I’m always on the search for one that meets my needs. For the past year I have been truthfully loyal to the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and this holds a especial place in my heart the coverage and the longevity in this foundation is amazing when you use this your makeup stays in place for hours.

Is not until recently in my last trip to Oahu that I visit Sephora – you know i have to feed my addictions! – that came across this new  TARTE RAINFOREST OF THE SEA FOUNDATION I have see it all over the social media  they have a whole collection with this name, but what really grabbed my attention was the ‘SPF factor’ not to mention that is a water foundation in other words this deliver Hydration to your skin while cover all your imperfections and protects your skin from the sun…. how great!!  Just what i need in this lovely paradise.

Now on to my actual review :

its been more that 4 weeks i have try this at least 10 times (honestly i don’t wear makeup every day )  but there is not a bad thing i can said about this.

• it lasted at least 5 hours on my skin with out touch ups – for me thats a lot because of my skin type and the humidity in where I live -there is no foundation that makes me more oily . So with that been said that a broken record !
• the coverage in this product is as good as any full coverage, it is described at the Sephora website as “a light to medium coverage” but to me that i have so many dark spots from the sun and acne works very very good.
• well the other thing is i always need some sun protection and having that included in this Foundation is hands down  awesome. it doesn’t feel  like you are putting sunscreen on , it is very light and it feels good.
• Hydratation check …well as I mentioned in my past blog Skin Care is now a big important thing for me. now with this foundation I’m adding some more hydratation to my skin at the same time I’m wearing my makeup and looking better.

I really hope this review is some how helpful and if you are in the Market looking for a new product or you  just simple don’t know  what foundation to try I don’t think you can go wrong with this one. The brand is very well known for been cruelty free, Pharben free and gluten free so take all those thing in consideration and go have fun trying this new product.

Skin Care Why is important?

Skin the largest organ of our Bodies, often times our least priority in the long list of taking care.
We get so busy with our lives that we just simply forget.

As Mom I’m not going to lie the last thing that worries me at the end of the day is my skin and her appearance.

But…

I have live in this beautiful paradise ( Hawaii) for more than 10 years and in my 20’s I was very naive about skin never realize that beautiful young skin will change with time, sun damage and hormones all this factors have done their job on me.

With not so prefect skin and various issues affecting my skin is now in my 30’s that I’m taking hands to this matter.

This is why I decided to share this important subject  with all of you Moms and not moms young and older it  really doesn’t  matter your age or gender, your skin type or color we all can get benefit of taking care of our SKIN.

  Here is some simple things that can help to enroll you in the process to taking care of your skin, I’m not a professional on this subject, I’m not a DR. by any means but as a mom and some one that once never Knew how important is to do so, I will share some of my advice and products I use on my Skin Care Routine.

• washing your face is important as with WHAT you wash your face with.
• moisturize your skin ( I never believe it was necessary for me since I have oily skin and the weather here is so humid but !Oh so Important ).
•  Identify your skin type and problems if you have any and find products to target them, such as serum, facial treatments, creams etc.
• Use facial mask …there is infinity of them I’m sure you can find one or more that you like.
• Eye cream !!! well we all can said that we hate those fine lines and crow feet so lets do something about it.
• Last but not least SPF it si really important that you protect your face and skin from the sun…and believe me when i tell you that you will regret it if you don’t do it… whether you use a fiscal SPF or not make sure you use that before applying your Make up.

This is something I personally use on my face and as an example of that you don’t have to invest in really expensive or high end product s but if you want you can do so.

Face cleanser CLEAN AND CLEAR STEP 1

Toner CLEAN AND CLREAR STEP 2

MOISTURIZER  CLEAN AND CLEAR STEP 3

This products are what I use on a daily   along with these oils every other day Lotus oil and Tsubaki Beuty oil.

Facial masks once a week, this one Mud Mask is my personal favorite and it works like a charm for cleaning out your pores!!

Awesome brighting Mask Boscia Aluminizing Mask  Eye cream Estee Laurder

As bonus points you can also use a nice lip balm at any time I like this one from Tony Moly honey lip balm.

I so exited for the spring season !!

Well as a girl I love this time of the year special for all the beauty  that nature brings back

to us and of curse for the Spring Fashion, the great inspiration

that you can find all around, that combined to me is a great time to

feel more girly, more feminine and in tune with nature.

Running in the dark to scape or feel frighten?

Last night as the year started I went for a night time run ( new year new me right) it was cold and perfectly quiet, to the point where all I can here was my thoughts…

– Wow it is scary to run at night! I’m wondering if someone is behind me??? Look back!

– I hope I get tired enough to go to sleep fast..

Back to to my paranoia…

– how would I defend my self if someone attac me from behind?? Did I just watch a video about it?? ( mental images run thru my head from and video I watch early in the day.)

I don’t know how many woman out there that run at night experience the same insane (not so much this days) thoughts. What I thoug it will help me with my stressful day and what it has been a good relax running therapy, converted in a “run for your life type of event”. Sure it may it been just my imagination or maybe all the crazy stories that we see in TV or the news but it got me thinking about what if something really happened to me??

How can I enjoy a night time run,when all I can think is… What if??

To all the woman and even man that like to run at night I want to know how do you over come the fear ?? Do you have any fear when it comes to running at night?

I know you might be thinking why you don’t run during the day?? Well like many of us I have a job and very demanding loving family to take care so often enough  I only have some free time at night to scape from my stress. 

I guess what I want to say is that even if I didn’t run at night with all the bad things that happen everywhere now and when you hear about people capable of do things that are unthinkable to other human beings, murders etcetera and you see that all over the news the paranoia of it gets to you and becomes this huge monster restraining you of do the must simple acations.

Should we be aware of this huge monster??Or can we just simply shout our eyes and ignore all the bad stuff in the TV?? Does anyone else feels like they keep playing with our psychological well being??? 

  

Just a new Start.

Hello, Hola, Aloha!!!

Well here I am trying to figure out this new chapter in life, It is 2016 already I can’t believe it!

I wanted to start new adventure with this blog and hopefully along the way make some good friends. My main goal is to give you some opinion, my point of view and some tips here and there for what my JOYS are.

As many girls out there I enjoy All things fashion, Makeup, Food and definitely my family is everything.

I live in a beautiful Place call Hawaii I will love to share it with you Im  not Hawaiian but I’m a Latina girl just living in paradise!

I’m a strong believer in LOVE and if we are to do something, what better thing to do than the things that you Love.

So here I am doing something that I personally love in this new Year that starts I want to set some goals and do this year things that I actually love.
